The area of San Cassiano is particularly famous for its easy slopes, including blue run number 9 that gently slides along Armentarola ski lift, just 15 minutes away from Les Pizades Apartments. It’s a perfect place for learning the basics of Alpine skiing accompanied by the experienced ski instructors of the Ski School Dolomites, such as the landlord of Les Pizades farm Otto Crazzolara, specialized in teaching to children. Neither cyclists will run the risk of getting bored. Those who prefer road bikes can tackle the passes of the Dolomites along the nearby routes of the Maratona dles Dolomites and of the Giro d’Italia. While the best trails for mountain biking lead to the plateau between Piz Sorega and Pralongià (with the possibility to join the Sellaronda MTB Track Tour), to the Valparola Pass, to Sass Dlacia and along the river towards La Villa, Corvara or Badia.
