100% fun, in both summer and winter

Family attractions

In winter Alta Badia is one of the most family-friendly ski resorts of the entire Dolomiti Superski. The area of San Cassiano is particularly famous for its easy slopes, including blue run number 9 that gently slides along Armentarola ski lift, just 15 minutes away from Les Pizades Apartments. It’s a perfect place for learning the basics of Alpine skiing accompanied by the experienced ski instructors of the Ski School Dolomites, such as the landlord of Les Pizades farm Otto Crazzolara, specialized in teaching to children. Other fun is waiting on top of Piz Sorega, which hosts a bear cave and is the starting point for amazing Tru Liosa Foram toboggan run.

Summer activities for children in the Dolomites are equally exciting. In addition to themed trails, various events and the rich Summer for Kids program, the little explorers of the Dolomites can meet different domestic and wild animals and have a great time on splendid mountain playgrounds, including the MovimĂ«nt Bear Park on top of Piz Sorega. Just a few minutes’ walk away from Les Pizades apartments, there is a big picnic area next to the climbing area of Sass Dlacia where you can organize the most panoramic barbecue in your life.

Winter trekking & snowshoeing

Equally rich is the offer that Alta Badia reserves for non-skiers. The guests of Les Pizades apartments in San Cassiano can enjoy some of the best winter trekking routes in Alta Badia. The easy but extremely picturesque Prè de Costa trail that passes in front of the farm is very popular among families with small children, including those in baby strollers. Charming winter trails climb to Malga Valparola, to the snow-covered meadows of Störes and Pralongià – combining them with a sled descent brings lot of fun for young and old alike.

And those who wish to venture into virgin snow expanses, can opt for snowshoeing, trying, for example, an easy tour to the Valparola Pass or a more challenging itinerary to the Fanes plateau. Walking across the silent pastures, covered with sparkling snow, is one of the best ways to soak up the spotless harmony of the Dolomites. The nearby Cross-Country Ski School offers a rich program of guidedsnowshoe tours that lead to places of historical importance and to stunning natural sites.
